OnSong is a comprehensive app designed to assist musicians in all aspects of their work. With a focus on preparation, practice, and performance, this app is a valuable tool for musicians of all levels. The app can be downloaded for free and used to import and view up to 30 songs. It also allows users to receive sets and collaborate with other OnSong users, making it perfect for group performances.

One of the standout features of OnSong is its compatibility with various platforms and file types. Users can import chords and lyrics from Dropbox, Google Drive, SongSelect, Planning Center, and more. Additionally, the app supports text-based chord charts, Adobe PDF, and other file types that can be accessed through supporting apps like Safari. OnSong Console is also available for managing your library from a web browser on your Mac or PC.

On the performance side, OnSong offers an array of features that make it perfect for use on stage. The app allows for hands-free navigation through pages via wireless foot pedals or intelligent autoscrolling. Tempo adjustment and time signature customization are also available, providing a click to help keep performers on track. A digital pitch pipe allows for a cappella singing, while the ability to link backing tracks and send MIDI events adds further automation to the stage setup.

OnSong also offers powerful video capabilities that set it apart from other music apps. Lyrics can be displayed on projectors or HDTVs via video adapters or AppleTV. Custom backgrounds with still or motion graphics can be created, as well as live video feeds for dynamic performances. The app even includes confidence monitors that allow performers to stay in sync with their band mates on stage.

There are two subscription options available for OnSong: Essentials and Premium. Essentials provides users with unlimited song storage and essential features such as set list creation, foot pedal control, custom formatting, and transposition options. Premium, on the other hand, unlocks additional advanced features including annotations, backing tracks, click tracks, multitracks, video tracks, MIDI automation, and premium technical support.
